Benefits of Uttarakhand Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana 2024

1. The benefit of Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana will be provided to the daughters of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and BPL card holder families of Uttarakhand.
2. The benefit of this scheme can be given to a maximum of two girls of a family.
3. When a daughter is born, her parents will be given Rs 11,000 as a lump sum amount.
4. When the girl passes 12th, Rs 51 thousand will be deposited in her bank account as a fixed deposit i.e. FD.
5. The duration of this fixed deposit of Rs 51 thousand will be 5 years, after which the daughter will receive an amount of Rs 75000.
6. The objective of Uttarakhand Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan Yojana is to provide financial assistance to the girl students for higher education.
7. Through this, positive thinking towards daughters will develop in the society.

Eligibility Criteria

• The parents of the applicant should be permanent residents of Uttarakhand.
• The girl child should belong to a BPL family.
• The age of the girl child should not be more than 25 years to apply.
• The annual income of the family for rural areas should not exceed Rs. 15976/-, while for urban areas the annual income should not exceed Rs. 21206/-.
• People from economically weaker sections of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes and General Category are eligible for this scheme.
